Macular Hole

  • Macular hole is a defect in the very central part of the retinal layer.
  • It happens for a variety of reasons such as:  eye injuries, certain diseases, and inflammation inside the eye.
  • The most common cause, however, is related to the normal aging process.
  • Retinal surgeons are able to effectively repair macula holes and normal vision can be established.
