Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSCR)

  • Central serous chorioretinopathy usually affects young adults, typically type-A personalities or stressed individuals resulting in reduced and distorted vision that is not correctable with glasses.
  • It is due to a leak of fluid into the central part of the retina
  • Fortunately, most resolve with needing any specific treatment although laser treatment is used in resistant forms
